OpenExit / Privacy policy

Privacy, in plain language.

Last updated:

OpenExit, based in Israel (“OpenExit”, “we”, “us”), provides migration assessment services. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. For questions or privacy requests, email [email protected].

What this policy covers

This policy covers our public website, launch-update subscriptions and inquiries you send us. It does not cover personal information processed on a customer’s behalf during a connected CRM assessment. That processing is governed by the applicable customer agreement and data-processing terms; questions about customer-controlled data should be directed to that customer.

Information we receive

Website visits. Our website does not use analytics, advertising trackers, cookies or browser storage. Fonts, images and scripts are served locally. When the website is hosted online, its hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP address, browser information, requested page and request time, to deliver and protect the website.

Launch updates. If you sign up, your email address is sent directly to MailerLite, our mailing-list provider, to manage your subscription and send a confirmation email. MailerLite also receives technical request information, such as your IP address and browser information. Confirm your subscription using the link in that email to receive OpenExit launch updates. Signing up is voluntary; you can use the website without subscribing. We do not save your address in this website’s browser storage.

Email inquiries. If you contact us, we receive your email address and any name, company details, message or attachments you choose to provide. Providing these details is voluntary, although we need a way to reply if you want a response. Please do not send passwords, access tokens or customer CRM records by email.

How we use information

We use your subscription information to send the launch updates you requested. You can unsubscribe using the link in our emails. We use inquiry information to respond, discuss requested services and handle support or privacy requests. Technical information is used to deliver the website, investigate problems and prevent misuse. We may also retain information needed to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to business inquiries and operating a secure website, steps you request before entering a contract, or compliance with legal obligations, as appropriate. Launch-update emails rely on your consent. If processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. We do not use this website to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.

When information is shared

MailerLite processes signup information and delivers subscription emails on our behalf. See MailerLite’s privacy policy for information about its processing. Information may be handled by providers that support our website hosting and email communications, as needed to provide those services. We may disclose information when required by law or where necessary to protect rights, safety or security. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

International processing

OpenExit is based in Israel. Email and hosting providers may process information in other countries, whose privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards for a transfer, those requirements apply. Contact us for information about the providers, processing locations and safeguards relevant to your information.

How long information is kept

We keep subscription information while you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe, limited records may be retained to honor your opt-out and document your preferences. We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to answer your request and manage any resulting business relationship. Retention also takes account of unresolved support matters, applicable legal recordkeeping requirements and the need to resolve disputes. Technical logs, where maintained by a hosting provider, are subject to that service’s retention settings. You can ask us about retention or request deletion using the contact address above.

Security

No website or email system can guarantee complete security. Limit the personal information you send to what is needed for your inquiry. If an assessment requires confidential source data, contact us to arrange the appropriate service process instead of sending it through this website or ordinary email.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access or correct your personal information, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, or receive a portable copy. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions. Under Israeli privacy law, rights of access and correction may apply; other jurisdictions may provide additional rights.

Send requests to the contact address above. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity and understand the request, and will respond within the period required by applicable law. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority, including Israel’s Privacy Protection Authority where applicable.

Children

Our services are intended for business users, not children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can address it.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page and its date when our practices change, including when changing signup processing or adding tracking. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
